Alan Eugene "Kojak" Coolong June 29, 1961 – August 3, 2025 Strong - Alan Eugene Coolong, known to all as "Kojak", passed away on August 3, 2025, at the age of 64. Born June 29, 1961, to Eugene Melvin Coolong and Geraldine Faye (Murphy) Coolong, Kojak spent most of his life in the Phillips and Strong area. He was known for his mischievous spirit, quick wit, and a laugh that could fill a room. He loved the simple joy of riding his bicycle—wind in his hair, a grin on his face, and the open road ahead. A natural storyteller, Kojak could spin a tale with a twinkle in his eye, always keeping his listeners hooked and smiling. He showed everyone that life is best lived with humor, heart, and a little mischief. Kojak is survived by his daughters, Shana Bubier and Crystal Coolong; grandchildren, Ashanti Bubier, Layla Oquendo, and Roman Trimm; sisters, Dawn Coolong, Karen Jordan, and Leila Miller; brothers, Shawn Coolong and Scott Coolong; several nieces and nephews; many cousins; and many aunts on both sides of his family. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Tina Smith. A celebration of life and burial will be held at a later date.
