Starks – Ann Marie Pelletier, 90, born in Providence Rhode Island on November 27, 1933, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2024, at her daughter's home in Starks, Maine, with her family by her side. She is predeceased by her husband of 36 years, George.
Ann loved her 5 surviving children, Joseph (Jen) Griffin, Robert Griffin, Jeri Ann (Alan) Powers, Roger (Josie) Levelle, and Christine (Greg) Ellis.
It is her 9 grandchildren; Mark, LouLou, Jesse, Jamie, Lauren, Chelsea, Brittany, Amalie and Greg, that she so enjoyed being with, after raising her children. She shared with them her faith in God, love for the outdoors and animals, especially horses. There were endless hours spent in her pool in the summer, where she taught many of them to swim. She instilled in them a sense of adventure and fun, how to find a good bargain and a real sense of fashion and style!
Her love and care continued on to her 8 great grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with Scarlett, Mason, Mila and Elana and was thrilled to be involved in their lives and love!
Ann had many interests. She was an avid reader. She especially appreciated poetry and wrote many poems on her own. She enjoyed sewing and gardening and always had a puzzle to join her in working on. She groomed their horses and enjoyed watching her husband in harness races, especially at Farmington Fair. Ann loved to travel; going to France on numerous trips with her son Joe and his wife, Jen, Puerto Rico with her husband George and while visiting New Mexico and Arizona with her daughter, she enjoyed the Grand Canyon, even rafting down the Colorado River.
Ann loved Bible truths and studying the Bible. She became one of Jehovah's Witness in the 1970's and actively shared her faith with others in the public ministry for over 50 years. She loved the promise that God will soon end all suffering here on earth and restore the earth to a paradise with perfect peaceful conditions.
