Arlene E. Knowles Jackson, 86, of Chesterville, Maine, was called home to be with her Lord on August 24, 2025, with her family by her side.
Born on October 4, 1938, in Stratton, Maine, to June and Elmer Knowles, Arlene's life was a beautiful reflection of her faith. Her deep Christian values were the foundation of who she was, guiding her every step. She was a woman who found strength in scripture, comfort in prayer, and hope in the promise of eternal life. Arlene was a devoted member of Beans Corner Baptist Church, where she felt a true sense of community and purpose.
Arlene's journey included her marriage to Donald Jackson on February 21, 1989, in Pittsfield, New Hampshire, a place where she worked for the state of New Hampshire at the toll booth. In 2002, she returned to Maine to be closer to her family.
While Arlene's faith was the core of her being, nothing brought her more joy than her family. She was a proud Mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and her face would light up whenever she spoke of them.
She will be dearly missed by her daughter, Kim and her husband, Mike Turner; her granddaughters, Melissa and her husband, Justin Fitch, and Morgan and her husband, Craig Badeau; and her four great-grandchildren, Cameran, Caleb, Jade, and Mallory. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews.
Arlene was reunited in heaven with her parents, June and Elmer Knowles; her husband, Donald Jackson; her sister, Connie Mulcahy; and her daughter, Debra Wyman.
Her family would like to thank the compassionate staff at Beacon Hospice and the kind-hearted members of Beans Corner Baptist Church for their support during this difficult time.
A celebration of Arlene's life will be held at Beans Corner Baptist Church September 5, 2025, at 11am.
Arrangements are under the care of Dan and Scott's Cremation and Funeral Service, 488 Farmington Falls Road, Farmington, Maine, where memories, photos and condolences may be shared at dsfuneral.com.
