On February 27th, 2026, Betty (Oliver) Pease passed away peacefully at her home in Freeman TWP. Maine surrounded by her family + loved ones. Betty was born on November 17th, 1945, in Farmington Maine. The daughter of Frank & Clarice (Pinkham) Oliver. Betty attended school in Kingfield Maine. She then married Ray A Pease of North New Portland, Maine, on September 5th, 1961. Sometime around the year 1964 they moved to Berwick, Maine and there together, raised their five children. Betty, 1st wife and mother, took on odd jobs including caring and cleaning for people. Some of her favorite things were camping, fishing, woodworking, thrift store shopping and had an art for hanging wallpaper. She returned to Western Maine in the 1990s, where eventually she bought and restored her childhood home. What is referred to as (The Farm) in Freeman, Maine. A lot of people will most certainly remember & miss Betty for her sweet and easy-going personality.
She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl and husband Frederick Luce, of Freeman, Maine; her daughter, Melissa Pease of North New Portland Maine; grandchildren, Danielle and husband Carl White of North New Portland Maine, Jade Grant and her partner Logan Dudley of Freeman Twp. Maine, Mikayla and husband Logan Boyce North New Portland, Maine; grandsons, Dustin and his wife Emily Pease of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Casey and his wife Corine Potter of Rochester, NH; granddaughter, Anna Pease of North New Portland Maine; granddaughter, Brandy Pease and her partner Justin Gross of Madison, Maine; grandson, Kenderick R Pease II of Rangeley, Maine; bonus granddaughter, Shelby Berube Of Strong, Maine; great grandchildren, Jillian and Finnley White, Joceylynn, Joel, and Jules Grant, Ruby and Rhett Dudley, Peter, Coraline, Sullivan, Eleanor Boyce, Oliver, Bailey, Milo, Nigel, Cecelia, Charlotte Pease, Brennen Pease, Ray Gross; bonus great grandchildren, Marshall, Lucus, Sutton, Abbie, Ema, Arlo & Lukus James; sisters, Leana and husband Clinton Knapp of Kingfield, Maine, Rita Grondin of Brentwood, New Hampshire., Jean Ashley of Danville, Vermont. Many nieces and nephews that she was very fond of; and her very special friend of 70 +years, Pat Meldrum.
She is preceded in death by her loved ones: her husband, Ray A Pease; sons, Kurt A Pease of Freeman, Maine, Shawn K Pease of North New Portland , Maine, and Kenderick R Pease of Freeman, Maine; her parents, Frank & Clarice (Pinkham) Oliver of Freeman Twp., Maine; brothers, Richard Oliver of Starks, Maine, Charles Oliver of Anson, Maine; sister, Ruth Reed of Rollingsford, NH.
Funeral Services will be held on June 6th, 2026, at 11:00am at the North Freeman Cemetery, located in Freeman. Following, there will be a celebration of life in her honor, located at 1392 Foster Hill Rd. (The Farm), Freeman, Maine. The Family would like to give a special thanks to Crystal Knewell for the amazing care she gave Betty. Big shout out to Andwell and the amazing hospice team. Thank you all.
