Mount Vernon- Bonnie L. Bean, 79, passed away peacefully with family by her side on December 29th, 2023, at MaineGeneral Hospital in Augusta. She was born May 25th, 1944, the daughter of Halden and Dorothy (Wyman) Turner. Bonnie attended local schools, graduating from Farmington High School in 1962. Bonnie married the love of her life Roland S. Bean on December 29th, 1962. Together, they made a home and raised two children. Bonnie went to work as a young child to help her family. She worked a few jobs over the years, but her real passion was being a wife and mother. Bonnie loved spending time with her family creating memories; she enjoyed puzzles, crosswords, bird watching and keeping close tabs on her family. Bonnie is predeceased by her parents; her brother Gary; her stepmother and friend Barbara; and her Nana Leah who raised her and her siblings as her own after their mom’s passing. She is survived by her husband of 61 years to the day, Roland; children, Lonnie and his wife Sandra, Colleen and her husband Lenny; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and one on the way; siblings Don and his wife Linda, Lana and her husband David, 3 half-sisters; several nieces, nephews and cousins. There will be a time of reflection for family and friends on January 2nd, 2024, from 1-4pm at Dan and Scott’s Funeral Home.
