Rome - Carolyn Brown, passed away on April 22, 2024, peacefully at home, surrounded by family at the age of 90. Carolyn was born on October 25, 1933. She was predeceased by her husband, Ted; and sisters, Alice, Audrey and Florence. She is survived by her sister, Shirley; children, Carol, Lois, Gordon and David, and their spouses; as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Carolyn loved her time at home in Rome, at Ragged Lake and at Tall Pines picking berries, ice skating, raking leaves, burning brush, and especially shoveling snow. She may have been the only person we know who took joy from our last snowstorm as it gave her one more chance to shovel the snow before it melts (a trait gifted to her by Pa). Just like Gram, her greatest joy came from family, and nothing was better than spending time with them all. The family sends a heartfelt Thank You to all the amazing hospice care providers and will be donating in memory of Callie to Maine General Hospice.
