Temple – Carroll (Skip) Melville, age 89, passed away on November 24, 2024, at his home in Temple Maine. "Skip" as most would call him, was born on February 27, 1935, in Conway, New Hampshire. Skip lived his life in Maine. During the colder months he and his wife Alice would stay in Vero Beach Florida. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed time spent camping, gardening and golfing with his grandson Brandon. More than once, Brandon may have heard his grandfather say the words "if you beat me, I'll leave you on the golf course". Skip also enjoyed spending time with his good friend (buddy) Ben Milster. Every Christmas, Carroll would buy his granddaughter one or more Barbies, even though Mom and Dad said she had enough, he would laugh and say "as a grandfather, it's my right to buy her as many as I want".
Skip worked for several years at Foster Manufacturing in Wilton Maine and Burlington Homes in Oxford Maine. He was also a member of the American Legion. He graduated from Gould Academy, and he enlisted in the Army from 1954 to 1957.
He is predeceased by his wife, Alice (Austin) Melville; his parents, Charles and Mildred Melville; his brothers, Richard Melville, Gary Melville and Charles Melville; he is also predeceased by a great grandchild.
