Obituary

Wilton - Charity Hodgkin, age 50, passed away on July 7, 2024. Charity Hodgkin, affectionately known as Char or Cherry Bomb, was a beacon of love, humility, compassion, and generosity. Born on August 8, 1973, in Lewiston, Maine, she spent a rich life full of joy, laughter, and an endless capacity to care for others. Over the course of her 51 years, Charity's life was marked not by her job title, but by the love she had for her family, her hobbies, and her selfless desire to make others happy. Charity's love for life was evident in her diverse range of hobbies. She found solace in the simple act of coloring and creating beautiful diamond art pieces. Her passion for speed and excitement was often satisfied at the racetrack where she loved to take pictures. Charity also cherished time spent by the water, where she could marvel at the beauty of nature. Yet, nothing brought her more joy than babysitting her beloved grandchildren, Nevaeh, Tyson, Benton, Shyla, and Gloria. She was never happier than when she was surrounded by the laughter and love of her family. Charity is survived by her loving son, Peyton Hodgkin and his wife Sasha; her devoted partner, Michael Cushman, and their daughter Logan. She leaves behind her caring mother, Rose Hodgkin and her husband Steven Finley; her stepdaughter, MayLynn Eddy; and her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Stephen Farrell; and her brother, Bruce ll. A woman of boundless love, Charity's humble and compassionate spirit leaves an indelible mark on those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her generosity reached far beyond her family, touching the lives of everyone she met. We will remember her as a beacon of love, a pillar of strength, and a source of joy. Charity Hodgkin, a woman who loved unconditionally, will be greatly missed, but her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those she loved. Let us remember her not with sadness, but with the joy and love she brought into our lives.
