Christopher Jon
Bogue
March 15, 1983 — July 3, 2026
Farmington - Christopher Jon Bogue, 43, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2026, with his family by his side, after a courageous nine-year battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
Chris was born on March 15, 1983, in Farmington, Maine, to Jonathan and Becky Bogue. He graduated from Mt. Blue High School in 2001 and went on to work as a carpenter before he worked as a “horticulturist.”
From the very beginning, Chris lived life with energy and enthusiasm. He enjoyed many sports growing up, especially baseball, and his family cherished every opportunity to watch him play. His greatest passion, however, was the outdoors. An avid hunter and fisherman, Chris was always ready for the next adventure, especially if it meant spending time with his dad. Whether in the woods or on the water, those moments brought him some of his greatest joy.
Chris was also known for his spirited personality and mischievous sense of humor. He loved pushing the limits, testing boundaries, and doing just about anything if it meant getting a really good laugh. Beneath that playful nature was an incredibly kind and generous heart. He loved those closest to him deeply and nowhere was that love more evident than in the bond he shared with his beloved niece, Lauren.
In 2017, Chris was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, a disease that gradually stole many of the things he loved most. Even as the disease changed his life, it never changed who he was. Through every challenge, Chris remained thoughtful, loving, appreciative, and grateful for the people who stood beside him. His strength, resilience, and unwavering heart will leave a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Chris is survived by his loving parents, Jonathan and Becky Bogue; his sister, Amy Bond, her husband, Reid, and their daughter, Lauren; his aunts, Sally Farmer (Erald), Nancy Ellis, Mary Young, Elaine Bogue, Lois Bogue and Nancy Alexander; his uncles, Mark Bogue, Bruce Bogue, and Scott Wells; as well as many cousins and their families, all of whom will miss him dearly.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, Robert and Edith Wells and Earl and Charlotte Bogue; his uncles, Roger Wells, Theodore Ellis, Michael Campbell, Sr., and Michael Alexander; and his aunts, Susan Campbell, Joanne Krawczyk and Johanna Bogue Alexander.
Though his time here was far too short, Chris leaves behind a lifetime of memories filled with laughter, adventure, love, and loyalty. His courage in the face of adversity and the kindness he continued to show others until the very end will never be forgotten. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of loving him. The family would like to thank Beacon Hospice for the gentle care provided over the last several years, especially Nikki and Lori.
All are invited to Chris’ funeral service and reception at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Woodfield Drive in Farmington at 2:00pm on July 18th. A Celebration of Life will be held on August 15th at the Industry Town Hall from 1-5pm.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where Chris was welcomed unconditionally, found hope and was baptized in 2022. https://philanthropies.churchofjesuschrist.org/in-memoriam/
