Obituary

Vienna - Clifford Forest White, 83, passed away peacefully at his home in Vienna, surrounded by family. He was born in Berlin, New Hampshire, on March 21, 1941, to Forest Cook White and Florence Louise Darling Searles. On December 7, 1963, Clifford married his beloved wife, Brenda Stevens White, in Strong, Maine. Together, they shared 60 wonderful years of marriage, filled with love and cherished memories. A proud veteran, Clifford served in the United States Marine Corps before transitioning to the Army, where he worked as a Military Police Officer stationed in Fort Sill, Oklahoma, and in Germany. His commitment to his country was a source of pride throughout his life. Upon returning home, he began his career at Farmington Shoe, followed by a significant tenure at Central Maine Power Company, where he dedicated 34 years of service. He later worked for Hammond Lumber Company and collaborated with his brother-in-law at Linc's Electric, exemplifying his strong work ethic and dedication to his community. Clifford had a passion for fishing and hunting, relishing the time spent outdoors. He particularly enjoyed the winters he spent at his home in Brooksville, Florida, where he embraced the warmth and tranquility of the sunshine state. He is survived by his devoted wife, Brenda; their children, Shawn White of Temple, Tanya McInnis (Patrick) of Readfield, and Lawanda Heath (Michael) of Norridgewock. He is also remembered fondly by his seven loving grandchildren—Tiffany, Cassie, Samantha, Anthony, Alannah, Moria, and Derek—and twelve great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is further survived by his half-brothers, Dennis, Ronald, Michael, Bruce, and Scott White; and his half-sisters, Sandra Abbott, Beverly Sweeter, Brenda Barton, and Kathy Phillips. He was predeceased by his daughter, Tiffany Lynne White; his parents, Forest Cook White and Florence Louise Darling Searles; stepfathers, Raymond Smith and Warren Searles; half-brothers, Lawrence White, Terry, and Timothy Smith; half-sister, Shirley Ford; and brothers, Richard and Robert White. In accordance with Clifford's wishes, there will be no funeral. Graveside services will be held in the spring. Arrangements are under the care of Dan and Scott's Cremations and Funeral Services, 488 Farmington Falls Road, Farmington, Maine, where memories, photos and condolences may be shared at dsfuneral.com.
