Obituary

Industry - David "Davy" Scott Plancon Davy passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, November 5th at age 69. He was born in Springfield, Massachusetts on September 30th, 1955; the son of Bernice (Johnston) Plancon and William Plancon. He grew up and attended school in Ludlow, Massachusetts. Davy moved to Maine as a young adult and lived briefly in Bar Harbor before building a home in Industry, Maine. He worked as a cook in a few settings around Farmington but always held a sweet spot for the original Farmington Diner. He also worked at Ridgewood Horse Farm and for Acme Land Surveying. Most recently, Davy was an extraordinary caretaker for his late wife, Peggy, and kept her comfortable until her last days. Davy enjoyed many years and hobbies on his property out in the woods. He was curious about the natural world and keenly observed the flora and fauna around him. He enjoyed both open-water and ice fishing in nearby Clearwater Lake. A constant tinkerer, Davy enjoyed building, woodworking, and problem solving using his never-ending "Yankee Ingenuity." Later in life, Davy became interested in astronomy and spent many nights observing the stars and moon and pondering the expansive universe of the sky. He was predeceased by his parents, Bernice and William; his wife, Peg; and brother, Steve. He is survived by his son, Will Plancon and wife Danielle; daughter, Dora Dean (Plancon) and husband Willie; and his three grandchildren, Lydia, Emmitt, and Alberta. The Family would like to thank Andwell Hospice Care along with all of those in his friend group who helped and reached out during this difficult time. A joint Celebration of Life for Davy and Peg will be held in the summer of 2025. In lieu of flowers, please pay a visit to your local public library. Arrangements are under the care of Dan and Scott's Cremation and Funeral Service, 488 Farmington Falls Rd., Farmington, Maine, where memories, photos and condolences may be shared at dsfuneral.com
