Phillips - Donna Gail Levy-Sweetser, 51, of Phillips, passed away on Wednesday, September 10th, at Maine Medical Center where she was surrounded by her family and her best friend. Donna was born on September 23, 1973, in Henderson, TX, to Ramona and Donald Jones. Donna attended Immokalee High School, and she graduated in 1991. She attended Edison State College where she was studying Business Management when she became pregnant with her eldest daughter. She raised 3 children with their father in southern Florida. After having her eldest daughter at age 21, Donna worked full time and provided for her only daughter at the time. She eventually married her high school sweetheart and proceeded to have 2 more children (son and daughter). She was always well known for being a loving mom and working hard to provide them with anything she could.
She was well known in Florida for being a coupon queen. She managed a household on a small single income budget and made sure that there was plenty extra to go around. She was known as a caring neighbor and a loving friend. She was especially adored by her parents who lived about 45 minutes away. Donna met her current husband online in 2006. They got married a few years after she moved to Maine. They had a son together in 2009. After moving to Maine, her health began to decline, and she had a long battle with many medical conditions. But she faced all these adversities with grace. She always did her best to keep her head held up high and to do the best she could. Despite all the challenges she had to overcome, she was most well known for being your local Avon lady. She was well known for selling products, communicating with customers and trying to help those she loved. When gathering information from her friends and family to write this, I was told by many that they had fond memories of the care she took being their Avon lady.
Donna was well loved by her family, and she always let you know she was thinking about you and loved you. In the last few years, she spent a lot of time with her current husband, Daniel, her son, Edward, and their dog. She would keep up on current events going on in the world, she would watch cooking shows and tell her daughters about what she would be making dinner that night. Weekly she would participate in DND with her spouse and son.
Here are some brief words to describe Donna, but these definitely will never be enough to describe her character fully: a mom, resilient, stubborn, independent, strong-willed, firecracker, nerdy, lover, beautiful, caring, lover of pink, kind, fighter, adaptable, and admirable.
