Industry - Elmer Frank Whitney, age 52, passed away September 9, 2025, at the Andwell Hospice House in Auburn Maine with family by his side. Born October 12, 1972, at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington Maine, the son of Jerome Whitney Sr and Miriam (Cain) Whitney.
He attended schools in Farmington Maine and graduated from Mt. Blue High School in 1991. He started working at the age of 14, for Dan & Scott's Funeral Home in Farmington. After graduating, he worked at Shear Shoe in Farmington until the shop closed. He started working for Manzer, Inc in Anson and ended his career at Fine Line Paving in Madison Maine, paving.
Elmer was a very caring and loving son, brother, uncle, great uncle and always spoiling any children that happened to show up. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, 4 wheeling, snowmobiling and hanging out with his friends and family.
He is survived by his father, Jerome Whitney; mother, Miriam Whitney; his brothers, Jonathan Whitney and wife Lisa Whitney, Jerome Whitney Jr (better known as JJ) and wife Peggy Whitney; his nephews, Jordan Whitney and Christian Whitney; his niece, Janessa Whitney: great nephews, Waylon, Brooks and Jaden Whitney; great niece, Jayla Whitney; Elmer is also survived by his companion dog, Jack.
There will be no service or burial as his wishes. A big "Thank You" goes to the Andwell Hospice House in Auburn Maine for the wonderful care he received.
