Madrid Township - Carl Beu, age 84, of Madrid TWP, Maine went to be with the Lord on February 2nd, 2025. Carl, the eldest child of Elwyn Carl Beu and Cleone Caroline Beu, was born Elwyn Carl Beu Jr. in Flushing, New York. After serving in the US Navy, he worked for Lockheed Missiles and Space Corporation. He graduated from San Jose State University and married Anita Kay Finethy (nee Rollins), a native of Maine in Bellflower, California. Anita and Carl settled in Madrid TWP, Maine where they worked as Therapeutic Foster Parents for a school for teenagers that were behaviorally and developmentally troubled. They had 13 foster children over their tenure at the school. A past deacon of the Baptist Church in Phillips, Maine, each summer Carl also spoke at the historical Reeds Mill Church in Madrid TWP, Maine. Carl is survived by his brother, Andy Beu of Orlando, Florida; and his wife, Anita Beu and her daughters and son. He was predeceased by his brother, Gary Beu of Salem, Oregon. Carl's interment will be privately held at Dunham Cemetery in Madrid TWP, Maine.
