Farmington – It is with heavy hearts we lost Ernest Lamphier Jr., 82, passed away on September 16, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer, with family by his side. He was born on January 3, 1941, in Penn Yan, New York. The son of Ernest Lamphier Sr. and Emogene Lamphier. Ernest loved working and driving the old cars, bowling and darts. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a "jack of all trades", but his real love was mechanic and auto body work. Ernest is survived by his partner, Roxanne Grant and her three sons, Mike, Tim, and Brian Young; his sisters, Nell Eva Caldwell and Ida May Brooks both of Susanville, California, Pauline Lamphier and wife Debbie Gault of Hudson, New Hampshire, Judi Wyman of Canaan, Maine, Lynda Watkins of Anson, Maine; a brother Lawrence Lamphier of Massachusetts; two daughters, Dawn Lamphier and Marny Lavelly of Massachusetts; a grandson who he adopted, Levi Lamphier of Wilton, Maine, six grandchildren and two great grandson's; many nieces and nephews, who he loved very much and was proud of each and every one of them. Ernest is predeceased by his parents, Ernest Lamphier Jr., and Emogene Lamphier; two sisters Mary and Margie A Celebration of Life will be held October 7, 2023, at 1:00 pm at the home of Ernest and Roxanne, 456 Lucy Knowles Road, Farmington, Maine. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alfond Cancer Center in Augusta Maine.
