Salem Township – George H. Boyd Jr., passed away on October 16, 2024, at his home in Salem Township Maine. George was born on November 9, 1942, in Boston Massachusetts, to George H. Boyd Sr. and Lorraine M. Arsenault. George entered the United States Navy in 1959. He attended LPN school in Boston in 1969. In 1975 he graduated from Kennebec Vallet Technical College with an associate degree in Registered Nursing. George enjoyed boating, gardening, reading and weather watching.

George was predeceased by his father, George H. Boyd Sr.; his mother, Lorraine Chepren and her husband Reno; his sister, Phyllis Michell; and his brother, Warren Boyd. He is survived by his sons, George Boyd III and Sean Boyd; his daughter, Louise Stoddard; stepsons, Amos Herrera, and Zennon Herrera; also, his sister, Virginia Elderidge.
