Farmington – Glendon Oliver Whitney, age 90, passed away on January 23, 2026. Glendon was born April 21, 1935, in Mercer, Maine, the son of Robert Glendon Whitney and Marion (Ladd) Whitney. Glendon attended the original Fairbanks School in Fairbanks, Maine until he was about 14. He then went on to work as a truck driver hauling wood. Glendon married Regina (Robbins) Whitney on March 23, 1957, in East Wilton. After they married, Glendon went on to join the United States Army. He liked to spend time outdoors hunting, fishing and camping. He enjoyed watching John Wayne movies, eating out, traveling to New Hampshire to go shopping and loved playing cards. Glendon is predeceased by his wife, Regina Whitney and his parents, Robert and Marion Whitney; his brother, Kenneth Whitney; and sister-in-law, Gloria Whitney. He is survived by his son, Michael Wilbur, his brother's Harold Whitney and Alan Whitney, and sister-in-law, Janice Whitney. No services are scheduled at this time.
