Glennese Vose Taylor passed away on Friday February 16, 2024. Glennese was born on May 18, 1929, in Kingfield Maine, to Flave Vose and Emma (Dolbier) Vose. She married Burton Taylor on February 13, 1948, in Skowhegan Maine and together they raised a family.
Glennese worked in banking for 20 plus years. She was an active member of her community, belonging to many community clubs such as the snow mobile club, and serving as Treasurer of many organizations including the United Methodist Church in Kingfield. However, her true joy lay in her hobbies, which were a reflection of her loving nature. Glennese was an accomplished quilter, baker, sewer, knitter, and painter. She participated in many craft fairs. Square dancing was also one of her favorites. It is said that what mattered most to Glennese was loving not only through hugs and words but through her hands, and this was evident in the beautiful creations she crafted for her loved ones.
Glennese is predeaseced by her parents Flave and Emma; her husband, Burton Taylor; sister Betty Taylor; brothers, Richard and Burton Vose, Dena Richards; great grandson, Blaine Dumont
Glennese is survived by Brian and Carol Taylor of Farmington, Bruce Taylor from Kingfield, Brenda Grover from Bangor and Robert Dumont from Colorado Springs; grandchildren, Sara McDougall and husband Billy of Ellsworth, Ashley Grover and her husband Andrew Desmarais from Concord New Hampshire, Tyler Dumont and wife Holli from Kentucky; great grandchildren, William, Elizabeth and Emma McDougall, Lila, Simon, Aday and Harriet Desmarais, Ethan, Abigail, Aubrey and Tanner Dumont.
The family would like to thank the staff at The Pierce House in Farmington for taking such good care of Glennese while she lived there. They would also like to thank Karen, Ginger and June for being her personal support specialists.
