Strong - Gwendolyn Elaine Knowlan passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 16th at 96 years of age. She was born in Strong Maine in June of 1928. In 1952 she married Clinton "Tinker" Knowlan, and they lived most of their lives in Strong.

In her retirement days she enjoyed going to the library to get books for her to enjoy reading. Gwen liked working in her flower beds and she enjoyed walking in the early mornings with her walking partners. Her favorite times were spending time with her family. Until we are together again you will be greatly missed.

Gwen is survived by her two sons; three daughters; their spouses; and her loving grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her loving husband; and two grandsons; a granddaughter; a sister and brother.

She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, who was always there when we needed her the most, offering support, wisdom, and love in abundance.

Funeral services will be held late next spring, early summer. Information will be updated at that time.
