New Vineyard - Jennie Lena Pierce (Shabrack) passed away peacefully with her husband and two sons by her side the morning of May 15, 2026, after a long struggle with congestive heart failure. Jennie was born in Paterson, New Jersey on May 7, 1950. She was the daughter of John and Vera (Thatcher) Shabrack. She graduated from Manchester Regional High School in 1970. Jennie married in October of 1976 to Stephen Pierce in Attleboro, Massachusetts and the couple moved to Maine in January of 1979. They had two sons born in 1978 and 1981. She stayed home while the kids were young and managed the homefront. Later she worked for many years at Maine Woodturning in New Vineyard, then Walmart in Augusta. Jennie was a kind, generous, outgoing person who made friends easily. She would strike up a conversation with anyone nearby. Jennie was predeceased by her parents, John and Vera Shabrack and her eldest brother Karem Shabrack. She is survived by her spouse Stephen Pierce, sons Charles and Jonathan Pierce, her sister Barbara and her brothers John, George, Mark and Robert. She has many nieces and nephews which brought her much joy. Jennie will be cremated and some of her ashes scattered in places special to her. In lieu of a memorial service there will be a celebration of life in August. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Franklin County Animal Shelter at fcanimalshelter.org.
