New Sharon - John Russell Tolman Jr., 69, died on December 22, 2024, at his home with family by his side. He was born August 13, 1955, in Connecticut; the son of Rev John and Jane (Stinson) Tolman Sr. John graduated from MT. Blue High School in 1973. Following graduation, he served in the U.S. Air Force. After coming home from the service he worked at Farmington Shoe, farming (which was his passion) and worked for various towns plowing snow. On September 13, 2003, he married his wife Beth (Daggett) after being together for 10 years. He is predeceased by his father, and brother-in-law Clint Ziemer. He is survived by his mother; sons, Jeremy (Dawn) Tolman, Chad Baker and daughter Heather Baker; brother, Frank (JoHelen); sisters, Villa Ziemer; three grandsons, and many nephews, nieces, and cousins. A Celebration of Life will be held January 11, 2025, from 1 pm to 4 pm at the Franklin Masonic Lodge in New Sharon. Special thanks to Mount Saint Joseph and Beacon Hospice for all the care they gave.
