Rangeley- Joseph Hancheck, 40, a resident of Rangeley, Maine, and a past resident of Hooversville, PA, Johnstown, PA and Las Vegas, NV, passed away on February 13, 2026, at home with loved one's present. Joseph was born on January 24, 1986, in Seoul, South Korea. Son of Amy Hancheck, Rangeley, ME, and Andrew, Butler, PA.
Joseph is survived by mother; father; brother, Em; loving relatives and friends; close friend, Stace Lou Adams; and his good girl, his Labrador, Bella.
Joe was a beloved uncle to William, Dillon, and Sophia Kondo of Las Vegas. Joe was a graduate of Bishop McCort High School and attended Rochester Institute of Technology. Joe had various occupations but is most remembered for his skill as a professional poker dealer. He dealt in several Las Vegas casinos and multiple times at the World Series of Poker. Joe loved playing pool at Mully's in Johnstown, and TJ's in Waterville, ME. Joe was a man of few words but made friends everywhere he went. He was loved by his friends for his loyalty, kindness, good humor, and generosity.
Joe will be interred with family at a later date. His Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 21, at Mully's Billiard Room, 1449 Scalp Avenue, Johnstown, PA, starting at 6pm. There will be a brief memorial service, followed by food, drink and sharing our memories of Joe. Joe touched many lives and would love for anyone who loved him to be there.
