Phillips - Joseph Ralph Sniadecki, "Joey", lost his fight with a long-term illness on August 16, 2024. Joey was born in Danbury CT on October 16, 1974, to John Sniadecki Sr and Kimberly Eaton. They lived in Connecticut until 1978 when life and opportunity moved the family north to Strong ME. Joey attended Strong Elementary school and later went to Mt Abram High school.
Joey started his working life in the woods with a few different logging companies. He then moved his considerable skills into carpentry. Later in life when his health began to fail Joey did odd jobs and helped others with projects. Joey was known for his fierce love for his children and family of which he devoted much of his time. Joey was always there when things got difficult. Always helping those who were on the margins of society. He would accept most people at face value and hold back judgment often beyond the point where most people would have given up. Joey had numerous friends and acquaintances that he made over many years through work and his pastimes. Joey loved fishing, motor cycling, camping and anything else you could imagine done in the Maine outdoors. Joey loved to listen to music which was always in the background when he was working or hanging out.
Joey leaves behind his daughter, Denesha Meldrum and husband David Meldrum; son, Ethan Sniadecki; father, John Sniadecki Sr; mother, Kimberly Eaton; brother, John Sniadecki Jr and wife Jackie Sniadecki; brother, Daniel Roy and wife Layna Roy; nieces and nephews, Alyssa, Elijah, Tanner, Lily, Jaiden; and granddaughter, Karsyn.
