Farmington – Katherine A. Duffy, age 75, passed away on October 26, 2024. Kathy was born in Lewiston Maine, on July 30, 1949, the daughter of Wallace H. Duffy and Mary (Henry) Duffy. Kathy graduated from Farmington High School. She then went on to the University of Maine Orono for her degree in Nursing. She then went on to receive her master's degree while working at Swedish Medical Center in Denver Colorado. She worked as a travel nurse and for Franklin Memorial Hospital. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Farmington. She enjoyed skiing, traveling, reading, basket weaving and cooking. Kathy is survived by her brother, John Duffy (Gina) of Temple, ME; nephews, Matthew Duffy (Kristen) of Pasadena, MD; great nephews, Colton, Grayson and Charlotte of Pasadena, MD; nieces, Jill Duffy of Glen Burnie MD, Abby Eagers (Joe) of Monmouth ME; great nieces, Lia Eagers and Allie Eagers of Monmouth, ME. Kathy also leaves behind her very special "fur babies", Spikey, Bubby and Maddie. The family would like to give a very special thank you to Kathy's neighbors, Hallie Yorks and the Chancey family, for their support and care, watching over her and her "fur babies", before and during her time in and out of the hospital.
