Obituary

(1961~2024) JAY- Kimberly J. Couture, 63, passed away peacefully at her home on April 2, 2024, after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. She was born in Egg Harbor City, NJ, on February 23, 1961, to George Heintz Jr. and Helen Lamkin Heintz. The family moved to Chesterville, Maine when she was 12, where she attended Farmington Schools. In 1980, she married her husband, Shawn Couture Sr. of Jay. A mother of 4 boys kept Kim busy throughout the years. Working several different jobs, she finally found her passion in helping others as a Personal Care Attendant. Kim enjoyed collecting donations over the years for the MS society, Daughters of Isabella fund raisers and other area organizations. Kim enjoyed working in her flower gardens and collecting angels. Kim also enjoyed decorating their home for all the holidays. Most of all Kim loved spending time with her family and friends. Kim is survived by her husband, of almost 44 years, Shawn Couture Sr. of Jay. Sons Shawn Couture Jr. of Dixfield, Keith Couture and wife Stacy of Farmington, Bryan and wife Jenica of Livermore, and Joshua and wife Melissa of Jay. Grandchildren Kyle and wife Keegan, Reese, Trevor, Alyssa, Alexis, Audrey, Jase, Caleb and Christian, her father George and wife Maureen of Chesterville, Sisters Jodi and husband Doug of South Carolina, Mechelle and husband Joseph of Missouri. Sister in laws; Christine of Oklahoma, Nancy of Jay, Gloria and husband Bert of Turner, Gail and husband Robert of Jay, Brother in laws; Gary and wife Olive of Jay, Mark and wife Collette of Jay, Tom and wife Shelia of Jay, and Joseph and wife Linnie of Jay. And many nieces and nephews. Kim was predeceased by her mother Helen Hosfeld, brother George Heintz III, sister Tara Heintz, mother-in-law Louise Couture, and father-in-law Athanase Couture. Honoring Kim's wishes, there will be no funeral. A celebration of life will be held on June 29, 2024, location will be announced later. Arrangements are entrusted to the compassionate care of Dan and Scott's Cremation and Funeral Service, located at 488 Farmington Falls Road, Farmington.
