Laura Ellen Thomas Kwon "Sis" 1964-2024 Industry, Maine- Laura passed away peacefully at the Androscoggin Hospice House in Auburn, Maine on Thursday, June 20, 2024. Laura was born in Waterville, Maine on February 28, 1964, the daughter of Maurice "Red" and Myrtle (Holt) Thomas. Laura attended Mt. Blue High School, Class of 1982. She furthered her education in Secondary Education/History at University of Maine at Farmington, in 1990 and Finance at Jacksonville State University, Master of Business, 1997. After graduation, she founded Heritage Insurance & Investment Services, LLC. She later joined the team at Senior Planning Center in Farmington, Maine. Laura loved to travel. She visited all 50 states with family members by her side. She loved taking road trips. The trips with her family were memories made that she knew would last a lifetime. She loved anything to do with Boston and Boston sports. Family and heritage were her greatest passions and she lived that through genealogy and being a long-time member of the D.A.R. There isn't a family member that she couldn't tell you about and some of their history and how they were /are related. She was also a member of the Tracy Reunion Association and enjoyed all gatherings. She loved crocheting, every blanket she made has a very special meaning and will be treasured forever. She is predeceased by her mother, Myrtle; and her daughter, Kim. She is survived by her daughters, Heather and Crystal; her son-in-law, Aaron; grandsons, Braden, Brett, Isaiah, Caleb, Armani & Luca; her father, Maurice and his wife Patricia; her uncle, Glen; her brothers, Lloyd and Leigh; her sister-in-law, Lynn; her nieces & nephew; along with several great nieces, many cousins, and special friends. Her family would like to thank the staff at Androscoggin Hospice House for their generosity and care. A private family graveside service was held on Saturday June 22, 2024, at the Holts family Cemetery in Rome, Maine.
