Augusta – Leo P. Belanger, 87 of Randolph, Maine, passed away Saturday March 7, 2026, at Maine General Medical Center in Augusta. Born in Eagle Lake, Maine on March 1, 1939, the son of Adelard and Rose (Valincourt) Belanger.
Leo attended Eagle Lake schools and worked at Statler Mill for many years until his health declined. In 1958 Leo married Germaine Pare and together they lived in Augusta. He enjoyed hunting with his wife and his family. Leo was known to be a caring, helping hand in various ways.
He is predeceased by his wife, Germaine; his parents, Adelard and Rose; 6 brothers, Joey, Hampy, Blackie, Libby, Wallace and O'Neil Belanger; also, a sister, Marceline Walton.
Leo is survived by his son, Rodney and his wife, Therese of Augusta; daughter, Betty Willett of Randolph; his sister, Angeline Slauenwhite; four grandchildren, Eric Willett and his wife, Marie of Gardiner, Travis Willett and his wife, Nichole of Clinton, Christian Belanger and his wife, Nicole of Wiscasset, and Ben Belanger of San Diego CA; 7 great grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews.
At Leo's request there will be no visitation. A burial will be held in the spring at St. Augustine Holy Cross Family Cemetery, Townsend Road, Augusta, Maine.
