Highland Plantation - Lisa Ann Carter passed away the evening of February 4th, 2026, with family by her side at Redington-Fairview General Hospital in Skowhegan, Maine. She was born August 29, 1963, in Leisure, Florida.

Lisa grew up in a military family and went to school in multiple states across the US. She finally settled in Charleston, South Carolina where she raised her two boys. She was known for her kind heart and infectious laugh. Her passions were music, art, and dancing. She was a ballerina and served her country in the United Sates Air Force from 1983-1987. She was a wildflower who loved adventures and trying new things.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Geraldine and William Hyde; her mother, Elizabeth Ann Salemie; and the love of her life, her husband, David Carter.

She is survived by her uncle, Bill Hyde Jr.; sister, Myra Jane Salemie; her sons, Brian Marchant and Forrest Bean; her daughter in law, Taryn Marchant; and her grandbabies, Scarlett, Madilynn, and Emma Marchant.

Lisa will be greatly missed and forever remembered. A celebration of life will follow at a later date to be announced.
