Lyle, 68, of Canton Maine, passed away peacefully, on July 15, 2023, at the Hospice House in Auburn Maine, after a sudden illness.
He was born on December 31, 1954, the son of Alton G. & Harriet (Buker) Seamon.
Lyle was a man of all trades. He was a truckdriver for his Brother Alan's A&S Company, he had experience in many different areas in the Oil Drilling Field working for Brett's Construction Co. He did some construction, including Sheet Rock and Roofing. But his love and talent were being an amazing Auto Mechanic.
Brother Lyle loved his family and spent time living in different states with siblings. From Florida, Pennsylvania, to Texas and he finally returned back home to Maine, for the last 4 years. The last year of his time on earth was difficult for him. He endured surgeries, complications, and rehabilitation. He spent the last 7 months at Pinnacle Nursing Home in Canton recovering. He contracted a serious infection he could not overcome.
Lyle had joy for many things, riding Motorcycles and Old cars (Fast). Rebuilding Motorcycles and Old cars especially his '55 Chevy and his 1974 FLH motorcycle. He enjoyed watching Nascar, sometimes with one of the brothers on the phone, he never missed a race. He had an amazing talent for building bird feeders, which he took extreme pride in. He loved music, watching westerns (Like Gunsmoke), eating sweets, watching the deer and birds. He loved all animals, especially dogs. He was very proud of his beautiful white beard, which he received many compliments.
Lyle was a man with a giant heart. He may have been a prankster and an aggravator sometimes, but these things were part of his charm that made him OUR Lyle.
Brother Lyle was survived by his daughter Jodi Miller, of Wilkes-Barre PA. Grandson, Dakato Miller of Wilkes-Barre PA., Granddaughter, Emery Rose Firestone and husband Kyle of Hanover Township PA.
Lyle was the 3rd oldest of 11 siblings Brothers: Gary Seamon and wife Gail of Vienna ME., Lonnie Seamon and partner Joy of Exeter PA, Daryl Seamon and wife Judy of Kingfield ME., Alton Seamon and wife Mary of Oviedo FL., Alan Roy and wife Sophia of Edinburg TX. Sisters: Thomasine Conway and partner Jim of Tunkhannock PA. and Tonya Shepard and husband Cade of Evansville IN. Lyle loved being an Uncle and a Great Uncle to many nephews and nieces. He had a special place in his heart for his Great Niece Oakley.
He was predeceased by his parents Alton and Harriet Seamon, Sister Alta Seamon, Twin Brothers, Terry and Timmy Roy. Nephews, Thomas Seamon, Matthew Jacien, and Blain Seamon. Niece, Shelly Seamon and a Great Nephew Logan.
Graveside service will be held on August 12, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Lakeview Cemetery Wilton Me.
Family and friends can then join us to enjoy a full lunch, including some of Lyle's favorites at the Farmington Elks Lodge located at 120 School St. West Farmington Me. The bar will be open for Toddy's.
