Obituary

Melinda Chouinard was born in Augusta in 1952, the daughter of Ruel and Helen Ellis. She graduated from Cony High School in 1970. She spent several years as a secretary before moving to East Dixfield and opening her own store, Mt. Blue Baseball Cards, in Wilton. This store is where she met her future husband, Albert. She enjoyed climbing the area mountains, going for long rides on Sunday afternoon, and her animals. She raised and sold Himalayan cats, Irish Wolfhounds, and Chihuahuas. She enjoyed playing bingo, watching the Red Sox, playing games on her computer, and putting together puzzles. Melinda married Albert Chouinard in 1991. They lived on Fenderson Hill in Wilton. She is survived by her husband, Al, her son, Matthew, and her grandchildren, Griffin and Jolene. There will be a celebration of her life on Sunday June 1st from 2-4 PM at her home on Fenderson Hill. The family has entrusted arrangements with Dan & Scott's Cremation and Funeral Service, 488 Farmington Falls Road, Farmington, Maine, where memories, photos and condolences may be shared at dsfuneral.com.
