Obituary

Everyone in her salon was a lifetime friend; she cared for and respected them all.

Farmington – Nancy Lee Tracy, age 68, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2026, with her family by her side. Nancy was born on August 9, 1958, in Farmington Maine, raised in West Mills. She was the daughter of Ervin H. and Marilyn I. Collins.

Nancy attended Mt. Blue High School; she received her diploma in 1984. Nancy worked at Farmington Shoe Shop for many years, then at Porter Steak House. After Porter’s, Nancy entered cosmetology school where she received her degree at Maine State Academy of Hair Design in 1989. After graduating she went to work at Morgan Hair Styling for a couple years, then opening her own shop, Nancy’s Fashion Cuts, for 20 plus years. Everyone in her salon was a lifetime friend; she cared for and respected them all.

Nancy enjoyed and loved being with her family. She especially loved celebrating Christmas, her best holiday. She loved collecting Santas and other Christmas items. She also collected designer maple syrup containers and enjoyed collecting shoes of all types.

She loved having wildlife come around and would feed them all. She had an abundance of deer always in her backyard. Nancy enjoyed bowling at Meadow Lanes in Wilton and making new friends. One of the best times was sitting at different ocean spots and other beaches, just watching the water and sea life. She was a social butterfly and loved meeting new people wherever she was.

She especially loved celebrating Christmas, her best holiday.

Nancy is survived by her loving companion of 21 years, David Gordon along with his daughters who she loved like her own, Sabrina Gordon Ellis and Brian, Erica Gordon Jewell and Jeremy with grandchildren, Novalyn, Finley and Piper Ellis and Ace Rollins; her daughter, Crystal (Tracy) Smires with grandson’s, Dawson William and Carson Gunnar Smires; her son, Olen Mitchell Boulette with granddaughter, Aribella Nancy Boulette; grandson, Izaiha and Stashia (Cavitt) Tracy with great granddaughters, Haylee Kate, Gentry Allyn and Zoey Elizabeth Tracy; grandson, Zachery Tracy with greatgrandchildren, Amara Mae, Freya Lynn and Nathan Lem Tracy; grandson’s, Gage Tracy and Lukas Turner; her siblings, Linda S. Tozier and Brian Hill, Gloria J. Durrell and Glenn Sr., Liza T. Donald and Frank Sr., Tina L. Collins, Theodore O. Collins and Julie, Sara-Jane Collins, and Craig A. Collins and Lorna; she also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, with many other family members.

Nancy is predeceased by her parents, Ervin H. and Marilyn I. Collins; her son, Troy A. Tracy; her siblings, Scott H. Collins, Candace A. Kennedy, Gordon E. Collins and Patty M. Collins; and her beloved dog, Sassy.

There will be a celebration of life in Nancy’s memory on September 12, 2026, from 2:00 to 8:00 pm, located at the Farmington Elks Lodge, 120 School Street, Farmington Maine.
