Norman C. Goff Kingfield - Norman C. Goff, 68, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2025, at his home in Kingfield. Norman grew up in Kingfield and graduated from Mount Abram High School. Norman joined the US Navy and served for six years. After returning to Maine, Norman graduated from the University of Maine at Farmington. He went on to have a 20 plus-year career as a Corrections Officer, with his last duty station being at the Franklin County Sheriff's Department. Norman was a proud member of the American Legion in Kingfield. Norman is survived by his sister, Faye Neely, also of Kingfield. He is survived by his nieces Rebecca, Jackie and Kathryn, a nephew, Scott, and cousin, Joy. He's also survived by many other cousins who were dear to his heart. Norman was the son of Carl and Jacquelyn Goff, and the brother of Orrin, who all preceded him in death. The family sends a special thank you to the Andwell Health Partners Hospice Home Care team. The care and compassion from the nurses and CNAs allowed Norman to have a peaceful end of life journey. Additionally, the family thanks the many people who have reached out with small acts of kindness and offers of help. Your love for Norman is so appreciated. The family is taking some time to adjust to the loss of Norman, so funeral services will not be held at this time. A graveside service is tentatively scheduled for May 22nd, 2026, at 11 AM at Sunnyside Cemetery in Kingfield. All are welcome to attend.
