Farmington – With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Paul Gordon, on February 3rd, 2025, at the age of 71. Paul was a beloved father, brother, grandfather, nephew, cousin, and friend. Paul was born in Farmington on March 10th, 1953, to Helen Whitney Gordon and Sidney Robert Gordon. He attended Farmington Schools and was a devoted football player and played baseball with coach Red Dean at Mt. Blue High School. After graduating high school in 1970 Paul made his living as a skilled carpenter; working up and down the east coast. Throughout his life Paul was a passionate sports fan, with a focus on his New England Teams. Paul loved animals of all kinds and truly appreciated nature. When his son was young, they would often set off for a weekend of fishing and sleeping under the stars. Paul will be missed by his son, Stephen R. Gordon; his brother, Sam Gordon and family; his grandchildren, Skyler and Mazie Gordon; his daughter-in-law, Vicki Gordon; his aunt, Jean Dingley; and his close cousins, Peter and Jon Dingley and their families. He was predeceased by his father, Sidney Gordon; his mother, Helen Gordon; and infant brother, Robin Gordon. As Paul wished, there will be a private family celebration of life when the weather is nice. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Franklin Animal Shelter in Paul's memory.
