He is survived by his 3 daughters, Robin Doray, and husband, Frank of Maine; Dorinda Oakes, and husband, Linwood of Kentucky; and Angela Welch of Kentucky; 6 grandchildren, Andrew Oakes, and wife, Francesca of Kentucky; Linwood Oaks III of Kentucky; Laurilyn Doucette, and husband, Nick of Maine; Felicia Oakes of Kentucky; and Jennifer Tardif, and fiancé, Benjamen Thomas Maine; Charles Doray of Massachusetts; 9 great grandchildren, Hayden, Peter, and Carter Oakes of Kentucky; Eva, Joseph, and Anthony Doucette of Maine; and Roy, Tabatha, and Gordon Thomas of Maine; his brothers, Carlton Welch of Maine and Donald Welch of Maine; his aunt, Brenda Laflin of Maine; as well as many cousins. He was predeceased by his dad on March 31, 1988; his mom on March 31, 1997; his sister, Laurilyn Sabin; 2 brothers, Benjamin and Edward Welch; his niece, Jennifer Welch; and his nephew, Jody Welch.
