KINGFIELD - Phillip Harold McClure, a loving husband, father, grampy, brother and friend passed on August 29, 2025, with his loving family by his side.
Born on July 28, 1951, in Farmington Maine, the son of Earland and Charlotte Boynton McClure. Phillip graduated from Unity College with a degree in Forestry. He worked close to home for 30 years in the local wood-turning mill and later 10 years at A.R.C. Enterprises. He never liked leaving his hometown. Phillip lived in Kingfield his entire life making it his home and raising his family. He was a caring husband to Deanna for 50 years, devoted Dad to Phillip and Andrea, and Grampy to Porter and several fur babies. His family was his greatest joy. He instilled in his children the values of integrity, independence, and hard work.
Phillip was a man of many passions including his grandson Porter's interest in music and sports. Always up for facetime saxophone concerts, frequent visits with grandpigs Rocky and Trapper, grand pups Holly and Guss, rainy days, very slow 4-wheeler jaunts up into the woods and taking great pride in his freshly mowed lawns. He was known for his love of the outdoors, hunting and fishing in his younger years, hunting camp antics and oyster stews. Animal lover of his four German shepherds, many kitties and chickens. A true friend to many lifelong childhood friends, college friends, work buddies, several special friends made along life's way and cherished all his children's friends.
Phillip was known for his sense of humor, and his witty style could entertain all ages. He always had a positive outlook on life. It was known to have been said by a dear friend, "If you can't get along with Phillip McClure you likely won't get along with anyone".
He is survived by his wife Deanna of nearly 50 years, son Phillip, daughter Andrea and fiancé Michael, grandson Porter and his mom Molly, brother Russell (Carol) New York, sister Louise (Mike) Kingfield, brother Jim (Kathy) Kingfield, cousins and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents and many dear friends.
