Obituary

Augusta-Priscilla A (Bourque) Haskell, age 68, passed away peacefully Thursday evening April 20, 2023 while in the supportive care of Beacon Hospice and with the attentive staff of Graybirch Long Term Care facility by her side. She was born in Portland Maine on November 11, 1954. The daughter of Gerald and Florence (Marden) Bourque. She was the wife of Philip R Haskell of Augusta. She was a graduate of Portland High School and until her illness, she and her husband enjoyed attending classes at Augusta Adult and Community education. Priscilla's work career began as a paper carrier for the Portland Press Herald and Sunday Telegram. After graduating from high school she worked for Goodwill Industries and later held a position as a crossing guard for the city of Portland until she moved to Auburn to become a housewife. She enjoyed volunteering as a bell ringer for the Salvation Army's annual Red Kettle campaign. She was a trusted baby sitter for many of her friends' children. She enjoyed playing bingo at many recreational centers in Portland, Auburn, Lewiston and Augusta, Maine. She and her husband enjoyed attending church at the First United Pentecostal Church of Augusta. Most recently, she enjoyed participating in activities organized by the activities staff at Graybirch where she and her husband resided. Predeceased by her father and mother Gerald A. and Florence M (Marden) Bourque of Portland, her sisters Louise M. Bourque of Livermore Falls and Pauline C. Bourque of Lewiston. She is survived by her husband, Philip R Haskell of Augusta, her brother, Philip Bourque of Westbrook, and her sister and brother in law, Timothy and Michelle (Bourque) Bardsley of Oakland and niece Melissa Bardsley of Brunswick. Priscilla was a beloved wife and sister, trusted friend to many within the community's she called home. She will be missed by all who knew her.
