Obituary

Wilton – It is extreme sadness we announce the passing of Randal S. Barker I. (Randy, Poppy, Pappy) Randy passed peacefully at the hospital with his family by his side. Randy has suffered with lung disease for most of his adult life. After his battle with lung cancer, an infection ultimately took his life. Randy was raised in New Vineyard by his predeceased parents, Louie and Donna Barker; his sister, Marla (Dennis); his brother, Ricky (Francine); and pre-deceased brother, Rodney (Chubba). Randy was part of the graduating class of 1977 at Mt. Blue High School. Randy married his sweetheart Kathy and then joined the US Army where he perfected his mechanical inclination. After the Army Randy made home in Wilton where they raised their family. Randy further pursued the auto industry where he worked for Cianbro and then Collins Enterprises. After his health started to decline, Randy left the mechanic world and pursued the auto parts where he worked at Napa and then finally retired from O'Reilly's. Randy will be remembered by his colleagues for his knowledge and dedication to his customers. His ability to listen to a vehicle over the phone and tell the owner how and what they needed to fix it. Randy made so many memories with his grandchildren watching them thrive. He loved watching them in competitive sports and would be a vocal member of the crowd. He was very passionate about his family. Even in his last days he made sure his wife and family were taken care of. He was an amazing, supportive, caring father, poppy, husband, brother, uncle, and friend. He would do anything for anyone in need no matter if he knew you or not. Randy was an avid outdoorsman. His perfect day was hunting with his son and grandson. He loved family camping, ATVing, the ocean, and watching television. Randal is survived by the love of his life, Kathy Barker; daughter, Sabrina and husband Ryan Macomber; son, Randal II and his wife Amanda Barker; his five grandchildren, Chelse, Kasadie, Britnie, Randal Barker III, and Morgon-Ashli; and his four great grandchildren, Felicity, Alexander, Kade, and Rayne. The family has requested a private ceremony for immediate family only. The family has invited you all to attend a Celebration of Life, at the Wilton Lions Club, November 17th @ 2:00. Everyone and anyone are welcome to join us. Arrangements are under the care of Dan & Scott's Cremation and Funeral Service, 488 Farmington Falls Rd, Farmington, ME, where memories, photos, and condolences may be shared at dsfuneral.com.
