Farmington – Robert B. Carter Sr., age 86, passed away after a brief illness, on October 18, 2024. Robert was born on April 5, 1938, in Blue Hill Maine, to D. Gertrude Carter. “Bob” grew up in Castine, Maine, and worked at Maine Maritime Academy for over 40 years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Cynthia Carter; his fur babies, Max and Marvin; his four children, Nadene (Michael), Robert Jr. (Susan), Angela, and Michael (Gail); 9 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren (with 1 expected soon); cousins, Sandra, Linda, Maureen, Jon and their families. Robert is predeceased by his mother; aunts and uncles; and great grandson, Maddox.
