Obituary

Embden - Mr. Robert Edwin Diamond, age 89, of Embden ME, passed away early morning, October 8, 2025. He was born May 31, 1936, in Watertown, CT to Charles Diamond and Hazel Jacob. Bob grew up in Maine and attended Williams High School where he excelled in sports. He served in the U.S. Army for 2 years active duty and 4 years reserves. Bob had three children Tammie, Joy Lynn and Bobby Diamond whom he loved dearly. Janet Tarr Diamond was the love of his life, whom he traveled 3 times around the USA with, along with many rides on "short cuts" in the Maine woods. Bob was a devote Christian who loved Jesus and mimicked his ways. The best description of him would be KIND. He didn't judge and would help anyone at any time. He worked construction and built many bridges. He was a millwright at Somerset/Scott Paper Co./Sappi Paper Co. Hinkley ME for many years from where he retired. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, cutting trees and waterskiing/boating on his beloved Embden Pond where he eventually built the family home after building their first home in Madison, ME. Bob made sure he made time to attend as many talent shows, football, basketball, soft/baseball games his children played in and could be seen cheering on the sidelines. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Hazel Diamond; his wife, Janet Tarr Diamond; son, Bobby Diamond; brothers, Floyd and Albert Diamond. He is survived by his daughters, Tammie Diamond Burtt and husband Dean, Joy Lynn Caswell and husband Darryl; grandson, Joey Diamond and wife Rachael; granddaughters, Alexi Peckham and husband Kory, Chantal Diamond and fiancé Alex Rodd. We would like to thank Jeannine Annis, Bob's home health aide, for her care with him. Also, the nurses and CNA's at Woodlands Memory Care of Rockland, where he resided for 2 months before going home to be with his loving father, Jesus. Please remember Bob with love and a kind heart as that is how he thought of each and every one of you. Arrangements are under the care of Dan and Scott's Cremation and Funeral Service, 488 Farmington Falls Road, Farmington Maine, where memories, photos and condolences may be shared at dsfuneral.com
