Farmington- Rodney A. Adams Sr, 81, passed away on November 11, 2023. He was born in Farmington, ME on May 7, 1942, to Hartland and Lucille (Kennedy) Adams. He graduated in 1960 from the former Farmington High School.
He married Helen Kinney in 1961, Evelyn Pinkham in 1964 and Rodene Mayhew in 1973.
He was a long-term resident of Manchester, NH where he worked in construction as a heavy equipment operator. After retiring in 2004, he spent many happy hours fishing, hunting, four wheeling and snowmobiling with his brother, Bud. Growing up he developed a lifelong friendship with Rodney "Cookie" Cook and told many riotous tales of their shenanigans. Rodney was a resident of Edgewood Rehab and Living Center where he enjoyed joking with the staff. They never had to guess what he was thinking.
He was predeceased by brothers Harold and Rolan and a sister Joyce Lovell.
He is survived by sisters- Beulah Libby of Fairfield and Linda Martin of Oakland. His children- Kevin Libby and wife Mary, Kelly Cartwright and husband Gene, Rodney Adams Jr. and wife Jaccie of Alaska, Ronica Leland of Waterville, Roberta Messer of Farmington and Raedene Cote and husband Mike of Emden; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephew.
There will be a Celebration of Life held at Dan and Scott's Cremation and Funeral Service, 488 Farmington Falls Road, Farmington, Maine, on November 25, starting at 1:00 pm. A graveside burial will follow at the family plot in Fairview Cemetery in Farmington.
