Obituary

Vienna - Cricket" Rosita Adams, 79, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 16, 2024, with her family by her side. Cricket was born May 3rd, 1945, the daughter of Kenneth and Laura (Hatch) Crocket. She grew up in the Wilton, Farmington, and Vienna areas, where she lived until her death. As an adult, Cricket worked at Bass Shoe, The Tannery, and went on to retire from New Balance Shoe. She frequently spoke of the times working at these places over the years and the people she was fortunate to meet and make lifelong friends with while working. Cricket enjoyed sitting at the computer playing games, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, cookouts, and watching the game show channel, all accompanied by a glass of Allen's Coffee Brandy. Cricket was known as a hard-working force that took no bull from anyone. If you ever wondered what she thought, she would soon tell you. People admired it most in her, as they always knew she would tell them her honest opinion. Cricket will be missed by everyone who knew her, but mostly by the ones who loved her most; her husband, Dennis; her son, Steve and wife Belinda; her daughter, Shanna, and husband Clint; her Grandson, Tristan, who she raised and his wife Angela, and the mothers of his children, Christyne and Heather, who both held a special place in Cricket's heart; her children gained through marriage, Lisa, Linda, Mike and Michele; her grandchildren, Matt, Steve Jr, Emaline, Kathryn, Travis and his partner Tatyana, Tamara, and husband Travis, Tyler and wife Ciera, and Devin; as well as her great-grandchildren, which she often called her favorites, Jordyn, Ally, Leigha, Chance, Justice, Bobby, Nolan, Courtney, Harper, and Damon; great nephews, Issac and Jacob; as well as her "grand-dogs"; and sister, Rita. Cricket was met on the other side by her best friend and brother, Kenny, who she has missed since the day he left; her daughter, Deserae; her niece, Colleen; her parents; and her favorite dogs, Smokey and King; as well as a whole list of special friends and family members that she couldn't wait to see again. Our family would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Angela who assisted with Cricket's care for the past few years and to the nurses and staff at FMH who offered exceptional comfort care in her final days. In place of flowers, the family asks that you donate to an animal shelter of your choosing, as Cricket was an avid animal lover. Cricket respectfully asked for no services; however, she will be laid to rest in a private ceremony next to her daughter, Deserae in Wilton sometime in the near future. If you knew or loved Cricket, raise a glass of Allen's in her memory. She would want no additional "fuss" over her. Arrangements are under the care of Dan and Scott's Cremation and Funeral Service, 488 Farmington Falls Road, Farmington Maine, where memories, photos and condolences may be shared at dsfuneral.com.
