Farmington – Russell N. Hargreaves passed away, with family by his side, on July 31, 2024. Russell was born January 9, 1958, in Farmington Maine, to Roland "Rolly" and Joan K. (Folsom) Hargreaves. He graduated from Mt. Blue High School in 1977. Russell was a hardworking and very ingenuitive man, who could find a way to fix just about anything. Over the years he worked alongside his brothers and father in the family excavation business; was self-employed driving his log truck, running his own excavation business and plowing. In later years Russell worked maintenance for various residential properties in Franklin County. Russell loved four wheeling, fishing and his daily trip to Dunkin Donuts. He especially loved spending time with family and friends. He had many close neighbors who greatly enjoyed time with him. Russell had an infectious smile and good-hearted nature, that will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his daughters, April Hargreaves of Farmington, Natashia Nile of Farmington, Heather Hargreaves of Turner and Kelsey Kidd of Casco; his stepdaughters, Melissa Dunham of Farmington, Melanie Dunham of Wilton and Marie DeLuca of Abbott; his brothers, Ronald "Twink" Hargreaves of Phillips and Harold Hargreaves of Gorham; his grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and his long-time best bud, Terry Dunham and his wife Valerie of Farmington. Russell is predeceased by his father, Roland "Rolly" Hargreaves; his mother, Joan K. (Folsom) Hargreaves; and his brother, Randy Hargreaves. A private burial will be held for the family and a Celebration of Life will be planned for a later date.
