Wilton – It is with broken hearts to announce the passing of Scott J. Lavoie of Wilton, Maine, on May 8, 2025, at the age of 59, after a long battle with cancer.
He was the son of Shanel and Lucille (Laforge) Lavoie. Scott was born on August 22, 1965, and grew up in Lisbon, Maine. Much like his dad, he loved to work on anything mechanical. From fixing friends' bikes as a young boy to working on cars. He was also known for his great sense of humor, excellent cooking and willingness to help others.
Scott worked at Falcon Shoe, Stanley Magic Door, and Appliance Dr. of Maine with his cousin, Mike Davis. His final job was as a mechanic for Origin BJJ LLC. in Farmington, Maine, where he will be missed by many.
Scott will be missed and is survived by his wife, Paula of almost 20 years; two daughters, Darian and Cassandra; grandson, Victor; mother in law, Priscilla Beedy; sisters in law, Kathy Lavoie, Ellen (Bob) Hodge, and Ann Kaiser; nieces and nephews, Amy Hodge, Hannah Kaiser, Phillip Lavoie, Scot Lavoie and Nick Hodge; along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Scott is predeceased by his parents and an older brother, Thomas Lavoie.
