New Sharon – Heaven has gained another Angel. Scott Timothy Walsh, 46, of New Sharon (formerly Jay) passed away Sunday, August 25, 2024, after a brave and courageous battle with cancer. Scott, the son of Kathy (Frechette) and Jason Dalrymple and George (Butch) Walsh, was born December 30, 1977, in Lewiston Maine. He graduated from Jay High School in 1997 and attended Mid State College. He was employed at Hammond Lumber in Farmington as an Inside Sales Rep. and celebrated his 25th year of employment there on August 16th of this year. On August 14, 2010, he married the love of his life, Amanda LaForge.
Scott was a generous man with a heart of gold who was always looking out for others, young or old, and always put others first. He was loved by so many, his family, friends, coworkers, contractors, and customers. "If love could cure cancer, Scott would have been cured". He had a great love for the outdoors, whether it be hunting, fishing, riding the back roads at camp, or hiking. Scott took pride in his spectacular display of fireworks at Spring Lake each 4th of July. Scott was famous for his impeccable work ethics and his many side jobs. With the help of his stepdad, family and friends, he built a beautiful camp at T3R4. It was his happy place and unfortunately, he departed this world too soon to enjoy his planned retirement home for him and his wife, Amanda.
He is survived by his wife, Amanda (LaForge) Walsh; his sons, Harvey LaForge and Logan Walsh , of New Sharon; his mom and dad, Kathy and Jason Dalrymple, of Jay; his father, George (Butch) Walsh, of Loveland CO; brother, Erik Walsh and wife Lisa, of Chesterville; in-laws, Tina LaForge and Mark Andrews, of New Sharon; stepsisters, Michele Reed, of Locust Grove, VA and Brandy McLaurin, of New Market, MD.; his wife's siblings; many dear nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
At Scott's request, there will be no funeral service, however, he has requested a Celebration of Life, which will be announced at a later date.
"Rest in Peace, Scott. We love you and we'll miss you always and forever. Until we meet again".
Arrangements are under the care of Dan and Scott's Cremation and Funeral Service, 488 Farmington Falls Road, where memories, photos and condolences may be shared at dsfuneral.com.
