Farmington - It's with a heavy heart that we announce, Shirley Delora Meader, 83 of Farmington, passed away July 8, 2024, at Sandy River Nursing Home. She was born June 8, 1941, in Farmington Maine, the daughter of George & Alta (Wheeler) Mastine. Shirley graduated from Farmington High School with the class of 1960.
On September 22, 1962, she married Clyde Hunt Meader ll in Chisholm. She was a stay-at-home mom for several years to her children, Martin, Steven and Sandra. During this time, she provided daycare services for her nieces, Michelle and Heather. Later on, she worked at Sampson's Supermarket, Shop -n- Save and then at Hannaford until she retired.
She loved spending time with her family, working in her flower gardens and doing puzzles. She loved collecting bells, clocks and shoes of any kind. She was a member of the Fireman's Auxiliary for many years.
She is forever loved and missed by; her children, Martin Meader and wife Brenda, Steven Meader and wife Melissa, Sandra Meader and companion Paul Campbell; grandchildren, Helen Chenard and husband Eric, Megan Parker, Nicholas Meader, Christopher Noble and his wife Nikki; great grandchild, Steven Masciarelli Jr.; as well as her four-legged grandchild, Spencer, who she loved dearly; her sister, Genoria Bergeron and husband Gary; several nieces, nephews and cousins; along with her best friend of many years, Sheryl Mosher.
She was predeceased by her former husband, Clyde Hunt Meader ll; her father, George Mastine; mother, Alta Mastine; and brother, John (Jack) Mastine.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Sandy River Nursing Home and the staff at Franklin Community Health Network for taking special care of their loved one.

On Saturday, August 24, 2024, visitation hours, with refreshments, will be held from 12 pm to 1 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life to begin at 1 pm at Dan & Scott's Cremation & Funeral Service, 488 Farmington Falls Road, Farmington, Maine 04938.
