Tim was happiest when he was working with his hands or helping someone in need.

Fayette – Timothy Wade Voter, 66, of Fayette, ME, was called home to his Savior on July 20, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones after a courageous battle with vascular dementia.

Tim was born on February 7, 1960, in Farmington, Maine, to Erlon Voter and Sonja (Nelson) Voter. Growing up on the family farm, he learned the values of hard work, integrity, and service that would define his life. He attended Mount Abram High School and graduated in 1979.

At the age of 19, Tim served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in New Mexico. He later attended Rick’s College, where he met his first wife, Beth Hale. After spending several years in the Mountain West, he returned (1987) to the state he loved – Maine – where he spent the remainder of his life.

Meeting the love of his life, Theresa (Terry) Dupuis, in 2020 brough new life and pure joy to him each day. His giddy smile alone told of his genuine and gentle love he has for her. They married on March 17, 2021, just as the Covid pandemic shut down the country. They built their happily-ever-after in the forest of Fayette, Maine. Blending their two families and 15 children together into one, their hearts grew and healed. Their example taught their children that love is stronger than anything and that all things work out in the end. Death is not final; love is eternal through God, our Eternal Father and His son, Jesus Christ.

He loved the outdoors, especially camping, cooking over an open fire, and sharing meals with those he loved.

Tim was happiest when he was working with his hands or helping someone in need. Service was more than something he did – it was simply who he was. Whether repairing something for a neighbor, volunteering with the Boy Scouts, (he was an Eagle Scout), or quietly lending a helping hand to family and friends, he gave generously without expecting anything in return.

He loved the outdoors, especially camping, cooking over an open fire, and sharing meals with those he loved. He enjoyed woodworking and left behind many handcrafted gifts that will continue to bless his family for generations. Known for his quick smile, dry wit and classic dad jokes, Tim had a gift for making people feel welcome and at home.

Of all the roles he filled in life, being a father and grandfather brought him the greatest joy. His grandchildren especially loved rides on Grandpa’s tractor, and his children will forever cherish the countless memories of family dinners, camping trips, beach adventures, learning to drive, bedtime songs, and the quiet ways he showed his love each day.

Tim was preceded in death by his father, Erlon Voter; his stepfather, Bob Godbout; and his brother, Randall (Randy) Voter.

He is lovingly survived by his mother, Sonja; his siblings, Karen (Kay-Sue) and Alan Collins, Daniel (Danny) Godbout, Robert Godbout III, Karen Wisner, Anna McElhaney, Brenda and Russell Gordon, Sarah Tanguay, Mary Clark, and Scot Godbout; his wife Theresa (Terry) Dupuis; and their combined family: Jonathan and Taylor Voter, John Levesque, Krystal and Brian Ward, Tom and Kara Levesque, Anson and Effie Voter, Dann Levesque, Marie and Russell Swendsen, Mirand and Caleb Coleman, Jim Levesque, Beth Kettle, Michael Voter, Juliette Levesque and Sam Bridgham, Becca Theriault, Emma Levesque and Kat Levesque.

He is also survived by sixteen cherished grandchildren, his nieces and nephews, extended family members and many dear friends.

Funeral services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Farmington, Maine on Saturday July 25, 2026, at 3:30pm.

Though we mourn his passing, we rejoice in the knowledge that through Jesus Christ families can be together forever. We look forward to the day we are reunited with Timothy. Until then, his example of faith, service and love will remain with us always.
